چکیده

Lignocellulose is an abundant and renewable biomass that mainly composed of cellulose, hemicellulose lignin. The development utilization lignocellulosic ethanol effective way to solve the energy problem/crises, In addition, industry can play a significant role in controlling environmental pollution extending agricultural industrial chain; however, it has not been able realize large-scale industrialization due limitation both biotechnology economy. This review first introduces status ethanol, then focuses on progress practical technology analyzing economic feasibility second-generation bioethanol plant; finally, future trend was prospected. To summarize, continuous technological innovation needed vital steps such as pretreatment, enzymatic hydrolysis, fermentation. Meanwhile, for making cellulosic truly economically competitive, we also need achieve interdisciplinary, cross-domain integration innovation, construction raw material collection storage system, situ producing special enzyme high-value components, developing closely refinery with mature equipment overall programs, etc. It hoped this provide useful reference bioethanol.

Production of Ethanol from Lignocellulosic Materials

Bioethanol has been introduced in large scale in Brazil, the US and some European countries and is projected to be one of the dominating renewable biofuels in the transportation sector within the coming 20 years. At present bioethanol is produced almost solely from either sugar – or starch-based raw materials (e.g, cane sugar, corn, wheat etc) often called first generation (1G) bioethanol. Howe...

Pretreatment of Lignocellulosic Wheat Straw in Ethanol- Water Co-solvents

Pretreatment is the key process for lignocellulosic biomass conversion, which is necessary to alter the structure of biomass to make cellulose and hemicellulose more accessible to the enzymes that convert the carbohydrate polymers into fermentable sugars. The present study reports the use of 15 ml ethanol-water co-solvents (1:1, v/v) for the pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass (1.5 g) to pr...
